STRATOFLAME_new generation burners

Stratoflame® is expertly engineered entirely from premium stainless steel to withstand a wide range of process air conditions, including upstream air temperatures up to 600 °C. The combustion air terminals feature a conical design with solid-angle openings that generate a controlled swirling airflow for optimal mixing.

The gas nozzles are crafted with a specialized geometry that minimizes vortex shedding effects, effectively preventing hotspot formation on the burner surface across all power settings. Each swirling cone is uniquely designed to ensure reliable cross ignition.

Stratoflame® can be equipped with optional kit, including: special deflector to be installed on cone outlet, GPL nozzles and downstream stabilizer for process air.

Stratoflame features a modular design, with each burner module delivering 120 kW of power at a combustion air temperature of 20°C. It offers an impressive turndown ratio of 10:1, allowing precise control over output. At full capacity, the burner operates with an excess air level between 20% and 30% to ensure optimal combustion efficiency.

This modular design provides great flexibility, enabling the creation of a wide range of burner matrix configurations tailored to specific process requirements. Stratoflame® is also capable of operating with combustion air temperatures up to 300°C.

Additionally, Stratoflame® burners are available as complete packaged units, which include valve trains, combustion air blowers, flame supervision systems, and controls — delivering a turnkey solution for your combustion needs.

Technical Notes:

  • All inputs are based on standard conditions: 1 atmosphere, 21°C ambient temperature;
  • All inputs are based upon net calorific values (LHV);
  • Mevas reserves the right to change the construction and/or configuration of our products at any time without being obliged to adjust earlier supplies accordingly;
  • Maximum power is referred to combustion air temperature on standard condition, contact Mevas for burner sizing and recommendations for preheated air over 300° C.

Testing and validation:
All combustion equipment design by Mevas is validated through CFD analisys supported by our workshop test bench that allows us to test following equipments:

  • Stratoflame® burner;
  • Optivortek® burner;
  • Corner combustion chamber (ducts + burner).
