DUMBO_the new compact Dust&Mist skid solution

In the paper industry, the management of dust and mist is increasingly crucial to ensure both production efficiency and workplace safety. However, existing removal systems are often difficult to expand, or may include sections that are obsolete or no longer operational. To address these challenges, the Mevas technical department has designed and developed DUMBO: an innovative dust and mist removal module, compact, self-contained and highly efficient.

Thanks to its modular construction, DUMBO is ideal for integrating existing systems or for targeted applications within paper mills, even in areas with limited space or complex layouts.

The pre-assembled skid-mounted design allows DUMBO to combine the key features of a complete system (suction performance, abatement and safety functions) into a smaller, easy to be positioned and installed.

Application versatility

DUMBO has been designed to adapt to a wide range of operating conditions, offering maximum flexibility and easy integration:

• Expansion of existing systems: increases suction capacity up to 10,000 m³/h without changing the configuration or size of existing components.
• Targeted interventions on specific machine points: ideal for processes that locally generate dust or mist, avoiding the need for a complete plant installation.
• Module replication: compact dimensions allow multiple DUMBO units to be replicated to cover the total required flow rate, even in complex layouts.
• Restoration of non-functioning sections: quickly restores partially dismantled or damaged extraction systems to full efficiency.
• Complex or temporary installations: thanks to its compact size and skid-mounted structure, DUMBO is perfectly suited for spaces with layout constraints or limited downtime availability.
